Need to get a new leader up to speed with contact work and the school? We have used these questions below to help get things going. This could also be a great refresher for an experienced leader. You could also have a contest between leaders, pair them up in groups of two and see who can finish this first. Another way we have used this is at our All Area Leadership meetings. We play a Jeopardy style game with one representative from each club. The possibilities are endless. Not really, but it is fun to say they are.
Here is a worksheet you can download.
Here are the questions:
- Name the mascot of the school
- Name the principle of the school
- How many kids go to the school
- What is the major intersection near your school
- Name a student government kid at your school
- What is the approximate record of the school’s football team
- When is the next dance at the school
- What time does school start
- What time does school end
- What time is lunch
- What are the school colors
- Name 2 hangouts that your kids go to
- Name 2 teachers at the school
- What ethnic and racial groups are represented on the campus
- What other Christian clubs exist
- What is the name of a security guard on campus

My friend Rob sent me these great ideas…
1. Contact work with a experienced leader. debrief over coffee after – AD pays for it.
2. Observe club from the back. What did you see? What kids were attended? which were not? What went well? what didn’t? Questions about why things went they way they did…
3. Give them a list of kids who have fallen through the cracks to start praying for…
4. Share their story at a team meeting – early
5. Have them read through the Gospels and write down 10 ways that Jesus was “in the world” of people he served.
