This is a blog where I hope to help YL leaders. We need easy access to info so we can focus more time on relationships. I hope this helps.
I am a YL leader and am on YL staff in an exciting and large area here in Phoenix, AZ. I am a nerd and have a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University. I worked in plastic injection molding and have lots of fun stories about that (seriously). I also developed new products for the fiber optic backbone of the internet as a Product Manager for a great company in Spokane, WA, which was a great experience. I graduated with an M.Div with a Leadership focus from Phoenix Seminary, while doing some post-grad work at Fuller and Wheaton Graduate Schools. I spent two years traveling back and forth to University of Saint Andrews (Scotland) and received a Master of Letters (MLitt) in the Bible and Contemporary World while writing a dissertation on the gospel in the early church. I am a PhD candidate in systematic theology at the University of Aberdeen, of which they let write and research while (whilst!) here in Phoenix. In my spare time I teach in the College of Theology at Grand Canyon University.
More importantly, I love my family, my high school sweetheart wife and my three super kids. I like to play golf (especially in Scotland), coach high school basketball (go Pioneers!), and read a lot. I’ve also done a lot of skits and thousands of people have seen my belly jiggle. I’m trying to quit that.
