Bert,

Thanks for your comment and interest! It might be worthwhile for you to contact your local YL staff person. You can find this person at younglife.org, you can search by zip code.

God can use any approach! The foundation of what works in my community is building relationships. The events in and of themselves are not even needed. They help, don't get me wrong, but apart from contact work, knowing kids, going to where they are and earning the right to be heard, these events and plans are almost embarrassing on their own. I'd suggest going to the school events of the kids that you already know from your ministry, go prayerfully and be consistent for a few weeks.

Dude, not in YL but in a ministry for students, these ideas are incredible. I know you guys sustain incredible momentum, but how can I reboot my Ministry, I am going to walk door to door and go to the park near our church and just reach out to the kids with my other team leaders. But I love the Young Life philosophy and utilizing Clubs and Campaigners. But maybe just using some theme nights in conjunction with our outreach...what do you think?
