I agree with Ed. "Thug" has a negative connotation with many of the kids that we work with. This is not something that they would strive to look like, act like, be like.... Many of them are running as hard and as fast as they can from it and are faced with it every day. I like your creativity, and I love using the ideas from this site for my club. I would never use this particular theme in the club that I work with.

Hey we really need to go away from calling it Thug Club,,,,,it just has a negative reaction to it.....especially when you you know what the word Thug means.....I do like what are doing and creativity......but THUG in the African American world is not a good word, that would be my suggestion..

Hey, So I'm in charge of music and we're doing thug club! But, I'm having trouble with one more fast song (we were going to so single ladies by Beyonce, but some of us felt funny with one of the lines in the song to be singing with the lyrics up on the screen), any suggestions that was fun for Thug Club?

thank you so much for this site! I love it!
When I did the skit for the game, I think God gave me a great idea. I used foil to make a grill. The kids loved it and wound up making their own grills.

We switched up the game a bit and had the girls decorate my car and the guys decorate a guy leader's car--because we needed help being cool. And pimpin' ain't easy.
